Stop guessing. The signs are in the texts - you just have to know what to look for.
If they initiate conversation more than 30% of the time, they're interested. This takes effort they're choosing to give.
People who like you use your name in texts. "Hey [name]!" vs just "hey."
Not one-word answers. They elaborate. They add to the conversation.
"You mentioned you hate olives so I picked a place without them." They LISTENED.
"We should do that sometime." vs "That would be cool." You're in their future plans.
Within minutes = excited. Within hours = interested but busy. Next day = you're not a priority.
Random pics - "saw this and thought of you." Unrequested photos = they're thinking of you when you're not there.
"Cool." "Yep." "K." That's not conversation - that's politeness.
Always you starting convos = you're the only one interested.
People check their phone multiple times an hour. Slow replies usually mean you're not the priority.
"Lol" used excessively without actual laugh. "haha" without laugh. These buy time without engagement.
Stop replying for a day. See who reaches out first. See who notices.
If they don't notice - you have your answer.
If they do - you have yours too.
