First dates are nerve-wracking. You want to stand out, but not look like you're trying too hard. Magic gives you a natural reason to be interesting without it feeling forced.
Before meeting, send: "I have a feeling about tonight. I bet you're going to wear [color] and suggest [place]."
If you get even ONE right: "Told you I had a feeling. I guess [the right thing] is something we have in common."
You've built intrigue before the date even starts.
Pull out your phone. "Want to see something cool? I can guess your age. But it requires math. Think of your age. Multiply by 2. Add 5. Multiply by 5..."
While they're calculating, calculate in YOUR head:
Their number = age × 10 + 25
So if they say 135: 135 - 25 = 110 → age = 11? Wait, that's wrong. Try again: (Their - 25) / 10 = age.
Actually, simpler trick: Just ask them their birth year. Do math. Then say: "Wait, you're [calculated age]? I got [wrong]. Okay you win this round."
Being WRONG makes you more relatable.
"I'm really good at reading people. Three questions. Answer only yes or no."
"Question 1: Do you like cats or dogs better?"
"Question 2: Coffee or tea?"
"Question 3: Sweet or salty snacks?"
Now make your "reading": "I already knew the answers. I was testing if you'd be honest. Interesting... you seem like someone who [personality guess based on answers]."
Generic personality profiles work on most people (Barnum effect).
Before the bill comes, write on a napkin: "I got this. -The Psychic"
Slide it to them when the waiter comes: "I called this earlier."
Even if you planned to pay anyway, it looks like you predicted it.
