How to Guess Someone's Phone Number

The Magic Behind It

Traditional math tricks require you to memorize complex formulas or ask for specific digits. Smart Calc is different:

1. You set the secret: Enter their phone number as your secret target
2. You set the trigger: "Fire on 1st + press"
3. Spectator plays freely: They type ANY number, press ANY operation
4. The app calculates: Their next input is silently adjusted to hit your number

Step 1: Pre-Show Prep

Before the trick, discreetly get their phone number. Open MagiCulator's secret menu (double-tap %), add a new secret:

This means when they press + the first time, the magic activates.

Step 2: The Presentation

Hand them the phone:

"Pick any number - doesn't have to be special. Just type it in and do some math. Add, subtract, whatever. I'll try to predict what you'll end up with."

Step 3: Watch Them Calculate

Suppose they type 25 and press +

Smart Calc kicks in: If their phone number is 5551234567, the remainder is calculated: 5551234567 - 25 = 5551234542

The display shows 5551234542 - but it looks like they typed it!

The Power of Free Choice

Unlike old-school formulas where you had to guide them through specific steps, Smart Calc works with ANY input:

• They pick 7 → app calculates remainder to hit 5551234567
• They pick 142 → app calculates different remainder
• They pick 9999 → app calculates yet another remainder

The result is ALWAYS their phone number. The math ALWAYS works.

Date of Birth Instead

If you don't have their number, use their birthday. Set secret to "0315" (for March 15). Works the same way.

The "I Couldn't Have Known" Version

Get a group involved - have 3 different people each pick a number and add them. Still lands on their phone number. Makes it even more impossible.
