1The Impossible Balance
Balance a pencil horizontally on your index finger. Move your finger slowly until you find the center of gravity - it will balance perfectly. The trick? Finding the balance point takes about 3 seconds. Make a big show of "concentrating" while you hunt for it, then act like you have special powers.
2The Stuck Straw
Put a straw in a glass of water. Cover the glass with your hand and turn it upside down. Pull your hand away - the straw and water stay stuck to your hand. The secret? The air pressure keeps everything in place. Works every single time.
3The Invisible Thread
Hold your hands out with palms up. Ask a spectator to hold a coin on one hand. Wave your other hand over it and say "jump." The coin jumps to your other hand. The secret? There's actually a small piece of thread - but you can also use a Assistants hair or just pretend and use timing. Either works.

Before you meet someone, write "You picked the 7 of Spades" on a napkin. Fold it and keep it in your pocket. When you're doing a trick, "remember" you wrote something earlier. Pull out the napkin and reveal their card. Works every time if you force the card first using the one-ahead method.
10The Salt Shaker Vanish
Put a salt shaker in your pocket. Make a magical gesture, reach in, and pull out something else - a different object. The salt shaker is gone. This requires two items in your pocket and quick hands, but it's basically a free trick after you practice the switch once.
